Many thanks to Afia Tours (https://www.afiatours-ghana.com/) for taking on this amazing village food day trip in Ghana (Note: I paid for this tour, it is not sponsored, but I fully recommend it - it was awesome)!
It was about a three hour drive from Accra to get to the village. The village was somewhere in the central Cape Coast region of Ghana (however no near to the coast, but much inland). The people from the village were so incredibly friendly, and it was one of the most genuinely hospitable and friendly villages I’ve ever visited. It was an honor and privilege to spend time at the vill...

WEST AFRICA for KONTAKT - The Definitive Guide
The Definitive Guide for WEST AFRICA from Native Instruments for KONTAKT. WEST AFRICA is a collection of authentic West African percussion and melodic instruments.
This video will cover everything about WEST AFRICA.

WEST AFRICA has an included pattern sequencer as well. So, you can program your percussion directly within the interface and trigger the pattern or drag out your MIDI. You can also, of course, use the individual hits to play in anything you want into your DAW.
After that, we'll look at the Single Percussion and Melodic Instruments. Both are very similar to the Percussion Ensemble, but we will...

The most beautiful city in West Africa would depend on infrastructural development including availability of good roads, architectural designs and urban planning. Other factors to consider before arriving at the best and most beautiful cities are: shopping facilities, entertainment and leisure facilities, friendliness and hospitality.
While it is difficult to establish any one West African city as the best, there are 5 major West African cities that stand out among the rest in terms of good infrastructural design and development as well as having a system that works.
Some of the major places worth visiting in Dakar are the Grande Mosque, the Renaissance Monument, the Dakar Cathedral, the golden beaches of ngor islands & Lake Retba, popularly known as Lac Rose, Senegal’s very own Dead Sea.
Some of the major places worth visiting are Kwame Nkrumah museum, the famous art centre, makola market-Accra’s biggest market, the black star square & the beautiful beaches like the sakomono labadi beach and krokrobite beach
Abuja is one of the most well planned cities of Africa. It has got much about everything that a modern city should have – imposing beautiful public and government buildings; private abodes with exquisite out-of-this-world architecture (most of which are actually castles or villas, the roads are neat & wide; the city has got well-planned lay-outs; relatively good security & is the centre of Nigeria’s government. The interesting thing here is that it also makes provision for an effective, cheap public transportation system for the average man.
Abuja is known for being one of the few purpose-built capital cities in Africa, as well as being one of the wealthiest.
Some of the major places worth visiting are wonderland amusement park & resort, Zuma rock-the unique rock with a face, the millennium park, the Abuja National mosque & you have the chance to explore the beauty of Jabi lake
Lagos
Some of the popular places you can explore in the city are lekki conservation centre, Victoria islands for the upscale nightlife and civic centre events, the largest art gallery in west Africa, the Nike Art gallery, shop at Ikeja city mall and explore the freedom park at downtown Lagos
Abidjan
Abidjan is the economic & largest city in Ivory Coast & one of the most populous French-speaking cities in Africa. It is characterized by a high level of industrialization and urbanization, wide streets and green parks and has a good number of museums and art galleries that attract visitors. Abidjan is the country’s major urban center, with skyscrapers rising above the Ébrié Lagoon. other attractions in Abidjan include the St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Banco National Park, and the Amani Gallery.

WE JUST COMPLETED THE MOST INSANE 10 day road trip across West Africa!! Wow, I cannot believe how many stories we have to tell for the rest of our lives.
I've been traveling with my Spanish buddy Alvaro, who is now 1 country away from visiting every country in the world, and we both agree that this has been one of the most difficult trips of our lives both mentally and physically. It's a logistical nightmare to plan, not to mention the constant corruption and bribery at every police checkpoint and border crossing.
But we did it.
And looking back already, it was an incredible trip and one for the memories. Thank you to everyone who followed our journey along the way! Many more stories to come from Senegal and then onwards to the Middle East and Central Africa!

It was an honor and privilege to spend time at the village.
As we arrived, they had already started cooking some Ghanaian food specialties. One the menu, we had banku with okra soup, fufu (a staple of West African food) with palm nut soup, and finally fried plantains with beans. All the food was incredibly good, and it was one of the best bowls of fufu I ate during my entire time in Ghana.
Thanks again to Afia Tours (https://www.afiatours-ghana.com/) for setting this up!

The Definitive Guide for WEST AFRICA from Native Instruments for KONTAKT. WEST AFRICA is a collection of authentic West African percussion and melodic instruments.
This video will cover everything about WEST AFRICA.
First, we go over the interface and common controls. You'll see how to change the drum samples, how to trigger patterns, how to drag out MIDI to your DAW, and use all of the controls.
Both are very similar to the Percussion Ensemble, but we will go over the differences. Look below for Time Code for each section.
WEST AFRICA includes:
Dunun and bells, Djembe, Krin, and Calabash percussion.
Kora and Bolon, Balafon, Ngoni, and Fula Flute melodic instruments.
▶TIME CODE:
0:23 - Percussion Ensemble & Main Interface
28:39 - Single Percussion
30:49 - Melodic Instruments
37:06 - Instrument Demo
